Hot Cash (SR 84, 9/2) is the joint-highest SR in the field alongside On The River, but crucially carries 9-7 — a 5lb pull on On The River at 9-2 — and is running off a mark 2lb lower than at last win (MarkMv:-2), the only runner in the field with a favourable mark adjustment. The market has shortened 10% since opening, confirming stable confidence from the Jack Channon yard (14% strike rate, 472 runners — a solid volume operation). Form reading 02280 shows modest recent finishes but the class step (ClassMv:=) is appropriate, and the drop in mark is the key lever. The GoingFit:? is a concern given the soft ground, but the same uncertainty applies to most rivals, and the weight-and-mark combination is the strongest package on offer. Each-way alternative: Wondrous Light.
