Ventura Express (SR:72, 7/1) is one of the joint-highest rated horses in the field and has been dramatically supported in the market — steaming in 42% from opening price, which is the strongest market move in the race by some distance. Paul Midgley (10% strike rate, 461 runners) is the yard's #1 runner here, backed by David Nolan (10%, 748 career runners), the more experienced of the two Midgley jockey bookings versus Mulrennan on stablemate Tiriac. Carrying 9-9 gives it a weight advantage over the joint-rated Qila on 9-8, and while DistFit:- is a concern at this trip, the massive market confidence suggests connections believe the horse is well-placed today.
