My Boy (SR 154, 9/4) is the standout on ability, carrying the highest Saturday Rating in the field by a clear margin over Lauriger (SR 144) and General Wolfe (SR 143). Crucially, the market has moved dramatically in his favour — a 30% inward move from opening prices is a very strong signal from informed money on a horse with Andrew Balding (19% career strike rate) and Oisin Murphy (21%) in the saddle, two of the most potent combinations in British racing. His sole run produced a fourth, which on a debut for a Balding juvenile at this trip leaves clear room for improvement, and the step to 1m suits a horse bred to progress.
