Mr Fox’s call
Jenny France
MEDIUM Advised 8/11 SP 4/7F Est. 46%
Mr Fox says
Jenny France (SR 157, 8/11) holds the highest SR in the field by 5 points over Posh Chick and carries the same weight as her — 10-12 — so there is no meaningful weight concession working against her. The market has shortened 6% since opening, confirming sustained confidence, and her recent form 21/4-3 shows consistent competitiveness at this class level. Jockey Freddie Gingell posts a solid 20% career strike rate from 181 rides, and trainer Joe Tizzard at 16% is respectable for NH novice company. All four runners share DistFit:? and GoingFit:?, so ground and trip uncertainty is a universal factor — it does not specifically disadvantage the favourite. Each-way alternative: Posh Chick. Main danger: Posh Chick — Posh Chick (SR 152, 11/2) has steamed in 45% in the market — the most dramatic shortening in the field — suggesting informed stable confidence, and as the yard's designated #1 runner with jockey Chad Bament booked, Anthony Honeyball's formidable 22% strike rate gives this runner a genuine live chance of upsetting the favourite.
