Nothing shorter than 5/1 makes my book. I'm looking beyond the obvious — but they still have to earn their place.

A Definite Getaway
Mickey Bowen is running at 26% over the last 30 days — nine winners from 35 starts — and he's sent out his best-rated horse on the card with his son in the saddle. When the stable is this hot and the SR sits top of the card at 126, A Definite Getaway doesn't need much to go right.

Gaelic Rambler is top of the card on SR 107 and the money is moving one way only — a strict-majority steamer with not a single drifter to muddy the picture. Jonjo Jr. in the saddle for a yard that knows when to send them out ready, and 5/1 looks like it won't last.

The Good Wife tops the card at Punchestown with an SR of 149 — that number doesn't land there by accident. W. J. Lee takes the ride and Twomey has her primed; at 13/2, this is the one worth watching at the 13:40.

Cinnodin is running at SR 100, just three ticks off a career best of 103, and sitting top of the card on that measure at Uttoxeter's 14:00 — that combination doesn't land in front of you very often at 10/1. Jamie Snowden is in sharp form too, firing in 25% winners over the last 30 days, and that's the kind of stable confidence that tends to show up in a horse's coat before it shows up in the market.
